Within the vibrant setting of the ITS Mohan Nagar fest, Manch Sanchalan is a refined oasis for the verbal arts. The very name itself translates to "commanding the stage," and that is precisely what this activity requires. It is a unique opportunity where the intellectual intensity of college life gives way to the unbridled, unfiltered energy of the human voice. This activity is a confluence of three diverse yet complementary forms of artistic expression: the aesthetic appeal of Poetry, the emotional profundity of Shayari, and the high-octane humor of Mimicry.
As far as the poets and shayars are concerned, the stage is a canvas for "Bhaav" (emotion) and "Laya" (rhythm). Whether they are reciting modern couplets about social transformation or classical Urdu couplets that elicit a "Wah-Wah" from the audience, they are faced with the tough task of making the audience feel what they are saying. On the other hand, the mimics are a crash course in observation and timing. By taking on the roles and mannerisms of well-known personalities, they transform the "Manch" into a realm of laughter and satire, where humor is a serious business.
