Description

But in the midst of all the ITS Mohan Nagar fest action, "Rang-De-Dhara" is a moment of meditative bliss. It's a tribute to the ancient art of Rangoli, where the "Dhara" (Earth) is celebrated by carefully placing colors. It’s a test of steady hands, artistic skills, and the ability to work with one of the most delicate mediums colored powder.

What to Expect:

  • The Fusion of Styles: Be ready to witness everything from the traditional Mandala and Kolam designs to intricate portraits and 3D illusions. Many teams at ITS also use this opportunity to showcase their views on environmental and social issues, proving that art can be both beautiful and meaningful.
  • The "No-Touch" Challenge: The key to Rangoli is the "flow." Witness how artists use their fingers as brushes to create razor-sharp lines and subtle gradients without ever making a single mistake. There is no "undo" button here!
  • A Feast for the Eyes: As the competition nears its end, the corridors of the campus are filled with a stunning spread of colors. It’s a slow-motion event where you witness the transformation from a simple chalk mark to a stunning, glowing work of art.
