VOLLEYBALL
Rules - 
Each team consist of 6 players and 6 substitutes. Players can be substituted at any time but if they are to return, they can be swapped only for the player that replaced them with.
Each team can hit the ball up to three times before the ball must be returned. The defensive team can then try and block or return the ball again hitting it a maximum of three times.
Violations will be called for the following:
▪ Stepping over the base line when serving the ball.
▪ Ball hits the net and fails to get over the net (If the ball hits the net and still goes over the net then this is perfectly legal).
▪ Players are not allowed to carry, palm or run with the ball.
▪ Players must not touch the net with any part of the body. If the net is said to have hit them rather than vice-versa, then this is ok.
▪ The ball cannot travel under the net.
▪ Players cannot reach over the net and hit the ball.
The games will be played on a cemented court.

Scoring
To score a point the ball must hit the ground within the outlined section in your opponent’s half. You can also score a point by your opponent failing to hit the outlined section within your half or your opponent hitting the ball into the net. A point can be scored off either teams serve.
A player serving must do so from behind the base line and can use either an over or underarm action and hit with only the hand. Once the serve has been made the sever can join their team in-play and battle out the point.
Each team is allowed to hit the ball three times before the ball must be returned. A player is not allowed to hit the ball twice in succession. If the ball hits the boundary line, then the ball is deemed to be in- play. The defensive team can jump and try to block the ball returning to their side of the court. If a block attempt is made and the ball bounces in their opponent’s half, then a point is awarded. If after the block the ball bounces out, then a point is awarded to the opposing team.

Winning the Game
To win the game you must score more points than your opponents. Each game is played to 25 points and must be two points clear. If the scores reach 25-25 then the game is played until one team leads by two.


RULES AND REGULATIONS 
Participation will only be confirmed after receipt of entry fee and on first-cum-first basis. The confirmation of final teams will be intimated by 23rd March 2026.
Every institute team must carry their institute’s flag with them to represent their institute in the march past during inaugural ceremony.
The final schedule of matches will be announced to the confirmed teams on the inaugural day (27th March 2026, 8:30 AM).
Decision by the Umpires, Referees and Scorers will be final.
Bonafide full time and duly enrolled students of colleges who are pursuing a full time course of study are eligible to participate in The ATHLEEMA 2026 – 13th Annual Sports Meet 2026.
If any college team is caught playing with members who are not enrolled as regular students (distance learning not eligible) of the respective institute, the team would be declared disqualified from the competition immediately.
Each participant should follow a common color scheme & style for each game as suggested by their college.
Participants are required to carry their institute’s ID Card and one ID Proof (Aadhar Card, Driving License) at the venue at all-time which can be checked randomly.
Discipline of highest order is anticipated from the participants and should be maintained at all times at the venue.
In case of protest, the team raising the protest is required to pay Rs.500/- as a protest along with documents to support protest.
Cash prize will be given only to team attaining 1st position in each game.
No replacement player will be allowed during the tournament.
All players must come with a full kit.
The competition shall be conducted as per the rules and regulations laid down for the concerned event by the  organizing committee.
